Most couples ask us this. Here's how we answer.
The gallery is what you hang on the wall. The film is what you put on the TV at Christmas and everyone goes quiet.
They do different things. The gallery gives you the still frame — the look, the tears, the light. The film gives you everything else: the sound of the waterfall, the wind, the moment before the vows when nobody's saying anything.
If your budget is limited, start with photo. If you can stretch it, The Expedition gives you both — with dedicated people for each medium so neither is compromised.
Pricing questions, answered.
What does "planning included" actually mean?
Everything. Location scouting and design, timeline built around the best light of the day, permit research and applications, local vendor recommendations, weather contingency plans. We do this work so you don't have to. It's not an add-on — it's how every experience is built.
Can we add film to The Adventure?
Yes — you can upgrade any experience to include both photo and film. The Expedition is our most popular option because having a dedicated photographer and videographer together means neither medium is compromised. Both people can focus entirely on their craft.
What travel costs are included?
The investment covers our creative work and all planning. Travel — flights, accommodation, transport on the ground — is additional and quoted separately based on your destination and dates. We always provide a clear breakdown before anything is confirmed.
How many photos will we receive? How long is the film?
A full day typically delivers 400–600 edited images. The highlight film runs 4–8 minutes. Exact numbers depend on the day — we don't cut galleries to hit a target or pad films to fill a duration. You get everything that's worth keeping.
How far in advance should we book?
Popular destinations in peak season — Iceland June–August, Amalfi Coast in spring and autumn — book 12–18 months out. Off-season and less-travelled destinations have more flexibility, sometimes 4–6 months. Email us your date and we'll tell you what's possible.
Do you work on multi-country or multi-destination experiences?
Yes — The Odyssey is designed exactly for this. Some couples elope in one country and celebrate in another. Some want three locations across a week. We've done both and we love the logistics challenge. Tell us what you're imagining.
